Important Lesson for (Likhit)Exam Preparation
In order to get your driving license in Nepal. you need to pass written (likhit) exam and a trial. You can give your vehicle trial only if you pass your likhit exam.
So, here are some of the important information regarding vehicles and rules , that you should know in order to pass your likhit exam.
For Overtaking Vehicles
- You should overtake from the right side
- Overtaking should not be done at places where overtaking prohibition signs are posted, busy intersections or lanes, zebra crossings, bends, bends, uphill and downhill, etc.
- When trying to overtake a vehicle coming from behind, you should slow down and give way.
- The unbroken straight lines in the middle the road, means you should not overtake by crossing the line. from opposite lane.
- It is reasonable to overtake if your vehicle is faster than the one in front of you.
- While overtaking, one should pay attention to the fact that the vehicle is not coming from the opposite direction.
- The broken lines in the middle of a road, means you can overtake from the opposite lane.
Traffic Signals
- You should always stop if the traffic light is red. Stop your vehicle just or before the white line in the traffic signal. You can see the white line before the zebra crossing.
- Do not rush your vehicle if there is yellow in the traffic lights, to skip the upcoming red light. You may also hit someone crossing the road or a vehicle in front or could face a penalty fine.
- You should move your vehicle or keep on going if the traffic light is turned green. Move your vehicle slow and calm, you may harm yourself and others if you are in a hurry.
Vehicle rules and regulations
- If your license is lost you should inform the concerned authorities within 7 days.
- You should renew your license within 3 months after your license has expired. There won’t be any penalty fine if you do so.
- If you have violated the traffic rules for 5 times your license will be suspended
- You should renew your driving license after five years.
- You should renew your vehicle bluebook within 3 months of the expiry date to skip the penalty fine.
- You should test your vehicle pollution every 6 months.
- The traffic and transport act was issued in 2049 B.S .
Knowledge related while driving
- Pedestrian(Walking people) should be prioritized first in zebra crossing. Specially school students, older people and disabled people.
- The vehicle going downward should give should give side to the vehicle going upward the hill.
- The vehicle turning round should be prioritized than the vehicle moving straight.
- Use the left side of the road, if you are moving slow and middle or right lane of the road if you are moving at a higher speed.
- You should give side to ambulance and fire brigade if you are seeing one coming.
- Driving/Riding from the right side is punishable in Nepal.
- You should blow the horn to the vehicle ahead if you want to overtake or blink the pass light.
- One should not change his/her vehicle color with their own desire.
Technical Knowledge of vehicle
- The function of a spark plug in a vehicle is to ignite the mixture of air and fuel in the engine.
- Only petrol engines uses carburetors.
- The clutch is used to free engine from gear.
- Carburetors is used to mix up fuel and air as needed.
- You need to give hand signal or blink your indicators, to signal the vehicle at your back it may overtake.
- Use choke to start your motorcycle engine in winters if not started normally.
- Dynamo is used to charge the battery in a vehicle.
Can we have written exam in English
Yes, you can. You need to ask for the english and they will provide.
i asked but they did not give in english. they sayd if we are not nepali citizen can give in english,,if they give in english what the problem?? i don’t know??
how do i ask them and what to do if they don’t provide me in English.
They give English paper. I asked the Invigilators he gave me. If u wanna confirm then go to the yatayat karalaya and talk to hakim. I did that
Can we show the citizenship produced in nagarik app instead of original one?
